The average wholesale cost of solar and wind electricity will drop by up to 59% by 2025. That’s according to a new IRENA report, which says that if countries are to achieve this percentage, the right regulatory and policy frameworks need to be in place. Michael Taylor is the Senior Analyst for Renewable Costs Status at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). He explains that even though this data refers to the wholesale cost of electricity, UAE consumers will see some of the benefits.
