The inter-city ferry service between Dubai and Sharjah has been suspended due to the prevailing weather conditions.

In a Tweet, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said operations have been cancelled until further notice.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the run of unsettled weather is expected to continue throughout the day but the intensity of rain is likely to weaken.

Meanwhile, authorities in Dubai have once again been quick to clear waterlogged roads after the rain.

The cleanup operations are being carried out by teams from the municipality, the RTA and police.

Motorists are being advised to take extra caution and to drive at a speed that’s appropriate for the conditions.
