The UAE's Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is developing a platform to simplify the documentation process for federal roadworks.
The Federal Roads Service Platform is designed to streamline the issuance and renewal of No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
It reduces the required documents for NOC issuance from eight to just three, cuts the number of procedures from 26 to 13, and shortens the service time from 14 days to just seven.
For NOC renewals, the platform trims procedures from 11 to three and provides instant service without the need for any documents.
This latest initiative aligns with the UAE's Zero Government Bureaucracy programme, which was launched in early 2024 to transform government operations and enhance service quality by eliminating unnecessary procedures and requirements.
"Through this platform, the Ministry seeks to keep pace with government aspirations to eliminate bureaucracy and enhance customers’ experience," said Mohamed Almail, Assistant Undersecretary for the Federal Infrastructure Assets Sector at MoEI.
