UAE to experience periodic rise in temperatures, NCM warns

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather warning advising residents avoid direct exposure to sun as temperatures are set to hit highs of 46 degrees Celsius over the next six days.

The authority said the the sudden wave can be attributed to period of "hot southerly winds."

Esraa Al Naqbi, a forecaster from NCM, explains what's causing this spike in temperature:
