UAE steps up assistance to cyclone victims on Socotra Island

The Emirates Red Crescent continues to assist those affected by Cyclone Chapala on Yemen’s Socotra Island. More than 35 tons of essential supplies have been delivered during the latest phase of the UAE aid organisation’s relief campaign. Thousands of people displaced by the cyclone have benefited from the shipment which included food, blankets and tents. Yemeni officials have thanked the UAE for its quick intervention during times of crises and conflicts.
