Sheikh Abdullah, Lavrov discuss strengthening strategic partnership

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, discussed ways to strengthen partnership ties with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

During the meeting, the ministers also tackled the efforts of the two countries in enhancing prospects for more collaboration in various fields.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted how the meeting between UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, in St. Petersburg last month "reflected the rapid growth in cooperation between the two countries".

After the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs and his delegation.
