UAE President receives phone call from Ukrainian counterpart

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday.

During the phone call, Zelenskyy thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE’s mediation role, which led to the recent prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine.

The two leaders also discussed various aspects of cooperation between the UAE and Ukraine and ways to enhance them.

Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE's stance on advocating dialogue and understanding to pursue diplomatic solutions to the Ukraine crisis.

He emphasised the UAE's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at alleviating the humanitarian consequences resulting from the conflict.

Zelenskyy also thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the continuous humanitarian support provided by the UAE to the Ukrainian people.
