UAE leaders extend Ramadan greetings

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to mark the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

The UAE's moon-sighting committee announced the start of Ramadan after the crescent moon was spotted on Sunday.

Taking to social media, Sheikh Mohamed said: "With the start of Ramadan, I extend my best wishes to all those observing the holy month."

"May this period of reflection and prayer bring us closer together and strengthen our bonds of unity and compassion. I wish you a blessed Ramadan filled with peace, harmony and spiritual growth."


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court also sent similar messages to mark the beginning of the holy month. 


Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates and the Ruler's Representatives in Al Ain and Al Dhafra congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on the advent of Ramadan, wishing him a month full of goodness and blessings.

UAE leaders also sent congratulatory messages to the Kings, Emirs, and Presidents of Arab and Islamic nations.
