The UAE will boost humanitarian aid to Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan, focusing on essential healthcare and religious needs.

The efforts aim to alleviate the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, particularly for vulnerable people such as women, children, and the elderly.

The initiative reflects the UAE's dedication to supporting the Palestinian people.

Since the conflict began, the UAE has been providing support to Palestinians through a number of humanitarian drives.

The 'Galant Knight 3' campaign was launched on November 5, 2023, and to date has involved 212 aircraft, three ships and 922 trucks, providing 21,000 tonnes of aid. Other relief initiatives include the 'Tarahum - for Gaza' campaign and 'Operation Birds of Goodness'.

The country also established a field and floating hospital, and set up six water desalination plants and five automated bakeries to support the daily needs of the local population.

Additionally, 1,056 patients were flown into the UAE to receive specialised treatments.
