UAE condemns Dutch MP Geert Wilders' controversial statement

The UAE's Embassy in The Hague has condemned Dutch MP Geert Wilders' remarks calling for the displacement of the Palestinian people towards Jordan.

In a statement, the embassy said Wilders' irresponsible comments constitute interference in the internal affairs of Jordan .

It added that the UAE stands in full solidarity with Jordan, and stresses the importance of respecting its sovereignty.

"The UAE also rejects any denial of the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and their right to an independent state," the statement said.
