UAE announces 491 new cases of COVID-19, 402 recoveries

The UAE has confirmed 491 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 68,511.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), more than 68,000 additional tests have been carried out across the Emirates.

The number of recoveries has gone up to 59,472 after another 402 people received the all-clear.

The ministry has also reported zero deaths caused by the virus in the last 24 hours, which means the death toll remains at 378.

This means that there are currently 8,661 active cases in the country.
