UAE and India conclude joint naval exercise

The UAE completed a joint naval exercise with India, "Gulf Waves 1," the Ministry of Defense announced on Monday.

"This exercise comes within the framework of scheduled military programs between the two countries to exchange military expertise and enhance operational readiness and efficiency," the MoD said on X. 

It was the third edition of the India-UAE bilateral naval exercise, the Indian Ministry of Defense (MoD) said. 

India's Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi visited the UAE from October 21 to 24 to boost defence cooperation and explore new avenues between the Indian and UAE navies.

"This visit [aimed] to strengthen the defence cooperation between the two countries, in line with the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across all sectors, and consolidate bilateral maritime relations between India and UAE, and to explore new avenues of cooperation between the two navies," a statement by the Indian MoD said.
