Silence ahead of Federal National Council Elections

Forty eight hours of ‘electoral silence’ has begun this morning, the National Election Committee has announced. All candidates have been urged to refrain from any campaigning during the period. It’s ahead of the Federal National Council Elections 2015, with the silence aimed at letting voters decide without being influenced by others. 36 polling stations across the Emirates are open from 8am to 8pm on 3 October.
