The Red and Green line of the Dubai Metro will start operations earlier on Friday at 3:30 am to accommodate those participating in the Dubai Run.
With the starting line near the yet-to-open Museum of Future, runners will pass some of Dubai’s signature landmarks, including Emirates Towers and Downtown Dubai, before crossing the finishing line at Al Mustaqbal Street near the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Parking at the World Trade Centre is free on the date of the run, but cars will only be permitted to exit the area after runners clear the road, according to the organisers.
Meanwhile, car users who want to avoid blockages along Sheikh Zayed Road can use parking lots at metro stations, including Centrepoint, Etisalat, Jebel Ali, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Burjuman, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, and Ibn Battuta Mall.
Dubai Run is one of the key highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
