MBRGI contributes AED 43 million for Gaza food aid

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has contributed AED 43 million for direct food aid in Gaza, in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

This was announced on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF), taking place in Davos, Switzerland between January 15-19.

The MBRGI's latest contribution is set to benefit over one million people in Gaza. It also signed another agreement with the WFP to implement sustainable food projects and deliver food aid to a wide segment of those most in need.

Both agreements were signed by Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of MBRGI and Cindy McCain, WFP’s Executive Director.

The total financial support extended by MBRGI to the WFP has reached AED 230 million since 2021.
