India-UAE ties grow as meetings scheduled in New Delhi

The 11th edition of the India-UAE Joint Commission meeting on Technical and Economical Cooperation will be co-chaired by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, and Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs for India. Scheduled to be held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on September 2 and 3, the two sides will discuss bilateral relations in the fields of trade and investment, defence, manufacturing, infrastructure and urban development. Other topics on the agenda will include security concerns, the fight against terrorism, energy security, healthcare, environment, and scientific cooperation in the space industry. This comes ahead of the Arab-India Economic Forum (AIEF) to be held in November, an event which will open up opportunities for trade and commerce between India and the Middle East.
