Heart disease causes 1 in every 5 deaths in the UAE

One in every five deaths in the Emirates is attributed to heart disease, according to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of death in the UAE. To mark World Heart Day, Mediclinic will be offering free heart health checks at different locations across the country. Dr. Prapul Misra, Consultant Cardiologist at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital spoke to ARN on why more young people here are being diagnosed with heart disease.
