His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, directed Dubai Police's rescue teams to send urgent aid to support rescue efforts in Morocco.

The move comes after a devastating earthquake struck the country on Friday night, claimed the lives of over 800 people and injured many others.

He also ordered the creation of a humanitarian airbridge to enable the charity institutions affiliated with Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Initiatives to send relief aid to those affected by the earthquake in Morocco.

Earlier, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had also directed the establishment of an airbridge to deliver critical relief supplies to those affected by the earthquake that struck various areas of the Kingdom of Morocco.
