H.H. Sheikh Mohamed receives foreign defence officials attending IDEX

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has held talks with several top military officials and ministers.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Edward Lister, Special Envoy for British Prime Minister for the Gulf, Air Marshal Martin Sampson, Defence Senior Military Adviser to the Middle East and North Africa at the British Ministry of Defence, as well as General Birhanu Jula, Chief of General Staff of Ethiopian National Defense Force.

His Highness also received Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, Defence Minister of Greece.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in defence and military fields.

Sheikh Mohamed and the visiting dignitaries highlighted the role of IDEX in building regional and international defence partnerships and showcasing the latest technology, systems and services.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and a number of senior UAE officials also attended the meetings.
