His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, arrived in Riyadh to lead the UAE delegation at the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh on Monday.

Attendees will “discuss the continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories and the Lebanese Republic, and the current developments in the region,” the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Sunday.

The Summit comes after first meeting of the new “global alliance” for the establishment of a Palestinian state through a two-state solution, hosted by Saudi Arabia on October 31.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan chaired the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary Arab and Islamic summit ahead of Monday’s session on Sunday afternoon.

Monday's Summit will mandate "the two General Secretariats to establish two media monitoring units to document all the crimes of the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, and digital media platforms to lay bare the Israeli illegal and inhuman practices," according to a document released by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on behalf of the participating countries.

It will also request the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to complete the investigation into the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in all the occupied Palestinian territories, among several other resolutions.

Israel's latest aggression in Gaza broke out after Hamas launched an attack that killed 1,200 Israelis and took over 200 others hostage. Since then, over 43,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed by Israel and more than 100,000 others have been injured.

Israel intensified its attacks on Lebanon, launching a ground incursion on October 1, after nearly a year of cross-border exchanges of fire with Hezbollah. More than 3,000 Lebanese people have been killed over the last year.
