Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri was accompanied by his deputy, Major General Obaid Mehir bin Suroor, assistants, and senior officers and officials in the air ports sector during the Eid Al-Adha season.

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up to accommodate the surge in travellers over the next two weeks, coinciding with Eid Al Adha and summer holidays.

More than 3.7 million passengers are expected to pass through DXB from June 12-25, with an average daily traffic of 264,000.

The busiest day is expected to be June 22, with guest numbers potentially exceeding 287,000.

Last week, Dubai Airports issued some handy tips for travellers who will be using their facilities during this busy period.
