ERC to send winter clothing packages to Gaza

WAM

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is set to send 400,000 winter jackets to the Gaza Strip, under the 'Gallant Knight 3' humanitarian operation.

Blankets, gloves and heaters will also be sent to help the vulnerable and children keep warm in the region's harsh winter.

The delivery will arrive in Egypt's El Arish for logistical arrangements, before crossing into Gaza.

By actively monitoring the transportation, the ERC aims to swiftly distribute the packages, to help ease the suffering, particularly of children, who comprise nearly half of Gaza's residents.
