Public parks in Dubai will be reopened in three different phases.
According to Dubai Municipality, the services will be restored in coordination with relevant entities, based on instructions from Dubai Health Authority and the Crisis and Disasters Management Authority.
They will be taking all precautionary measures aimed at reducing the risk levels of infection due to the sudden and heavy operation of the facilities.
The first phase (May 12-18) will include the opening of external tracks and family squares in Zabeel, Al Safa, Al Barsha South, Al Sufouh, Al Mankhool, Al Liseily, Nad Al Sheba-2 parks, as well as Nad Al Sheba-4, Al Worood, Al Twar 2 and 3 parks, and the Mosque Park.
Al Mizhar-1, 2 and 4, Al Qusais 2 and 3, Nadd Al Hamr and Al Warqaa-2 parks will also be covered in the first phase.
During the second phase that starts on May 18, 70 parks, including neighbourhood and pond parks will be reopened, as well as Miracle Cave and the Glasshouse in Quranic Park.
Meanwhile, the third phase that begins on May 25 will include Mushrif, Al Mamzar, Creek, Zabeel and Al Safa parks.
“The gradual reopening will help us continuously assess the situation and rapidly respond to changes,” said Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality.
