Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will host a series of activities from October 28 to November 1 to celebrate the 15th Public Transport Day, observed annually on November 1.

This year’s event is held under the theme "Good for you, Great for Dubai".

Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of the Corporate Administrative Support Sector at the RTA, emphasized that the theme encourages residents and visitors to make Dubai a top city for living by using the RTA's services, which include the metro, tram, public buses, marine transport, and options for soft mobility like bicycles and e-scooters.

The Public Transport Day will feature exciting activities, competitions, and numerous prizes, with the RTA recognizing the most frequent public transport users across six categories, awarding three winners in each.

The top winner will receive 1 million nol+ points, with runner-up prizes of 500,000 and 250,000 points.

New categories this year include the most frequent user since the event began in 2009, as well as specific categories for senior citizens and students.

A highlight of the celebration is the "Mysterious Man Challenge," in partnership with the Arabian Radio Network (ARN).

Participants will search for a "Mysterious Man" at metro stations from October 30 to November 1, with daily winners receiving AED 10,000. The final winner on Public Transport Day will also receive a 50-gramme gold bar.

Since its inception in 2009, the Public Transport Day has encouraged residents to use public transport, supporting Dubai's sustainability goals and enhancing the overall commuter experience.
