Dubai announces temporary closure of bars, lounges

Dubai has announced the temporary closure of all pubs, bars and lounges in the emirate until the end of the month.

Making the announcement on Monday, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) explained that the measures have been taken to protect public health and safety.

The directive is also applicable to bars within restaurants.

They've added that the situation will be continuously monitored and updated in coordination with the health authorities.
