DEWA wants to see more solar-powered houses

The use of solar energy in Dubai households needs to increase. That’s according to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), which introduced the “Shams Dubai” programme. The initiative allows residential houses and buildings to install solar panels that connect to DEWA’s grid. His Excellency Waleed Salman, Executive Vice president for Strategy and Business Development at DEWA says the new initiative gives customers access to energy economically.
