DEWA is first government organisation in Dubai to use electric cars

Eight electric cars have been added to Dubai’s Electricity and Water Authority fleet. DEWA is now the first government organisation in the Emirates to use electric cars in support of the Dubai 2021 plan to make the Emirate a smart integrated and connected city that uses its resources in a sustainable manner. The next step will be implementing the Dubai Green Transport initiative aiming to encourage the use of sustainable transportation with hybrid and electric vehicles which will cut total carbon emissions in the city by up to 19%.
