COVID-19: UAE announces 626 new cases, one death

The UAE has announced 626 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 38,268.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), one person has died from the virus, bringing the total death toll to 275.

Meanwhile, 724 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 21,061 in the UAE.

The number of active cases in the country is 16,932.

Officials added that the UAE has conducted 2.5 million COVID-19 tests so far, with 52,996 screenings held in the last 24 hours.
