Community initiatives slash crime rates in Dubai

The community initiatives of Dubai Police are helping slash the crime rates in several neighbourhoods.

Officials say these campaigns have brought the crime index down to zero in Satwa and Al Quoz.

Meanwhile, areas like Mirdiff, Al Muhaisnah, Al Barsha and Al Twar have seen the rates drop by up to 68 per cent.

More than 15,000 people have benefitted from these initiatives that included a mix of awareness lectures as well as various sports activities.
