Star lineup heading to Dubai International Baja 2024

The world’s top off-road drivers and riders are gearing up for the eighth edition of the Dubai International Baja next week, with multiple event winners Nasser Al Attiyah and Mohammed Al Balooshi leading the way in the car and bike categories.

As the 2024 FIA and FIM World Cup season draws to a close, titles are still up for grabs in several classes.

Taking place from November 28 to December 1, the Dubai International Baja will challenge competitors with the rugged terrain of Hatta and the technical dunes of Dubai.

The event hub is once again centered at the heart of the city, in Dubai Festival City.

The Dubai event will decide the champions of the FIM Motorcycle Bajas World Cup and the majority of car classes in the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.

Among the notable entries is rising US star Seth Quintero, who returns with hopes of an overall success in his Toyota Hilux partnered by Germany’s Dennis Zenz, and Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah, the most successful competitor in Dubai Baja history, who will drive a Taurus T3 Challenger this time, focusing on developing emerging talent.

Local driver Khalid Aljafla, fresh off an impressive win in Jordan, leads the T3 World Cup as he heads into his home event. Meanwhile, the battle for the overall FIA World Cup title is heating up, with Joao Ferreira and Fernando Alvarez vying for the championship.

Leading the women’s challenge is Saudi driver Dania Akeel who recently moved up to the Ultimate cars while another notable entry is emerging Norwegian rallycross and Extreme E star Hedda Hosås transitioning into the FIA Baja World Cup series in a R-X Sport run Maverick X3.

On two wheels, local hero Mohammed Al Balooshi aims to defend his title and secure his third Dubai International Baja victory, following a recent win in Jordan and a second consecutive World Cup title.

The Dubai International Baja continues to build its legacy as a premier off-road motorsport event, celebrating 45 years since its inception as the Dubai International Rally in 1979.

Now in its eighth edition under the Baja format, the event draws top competitors from around the globe to tackle the challenging dunes of Dubai.
