England forward Jadon Sancho will not be participating in Manchester United squad training as a result of his ongoing public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag.

In an official statement, Manchester United declared that Sancho would train "separately from the first-team squad until the resolution of a disciplinary matter within the squad."

The 23-year-old forward openly questioned Ten Hag's decision to exclude him from the lineup during the team's 3-1 defeat against Arsenal.

Sancho will also be absent from the squad for the upcoming match against Brighton scheduled for Saturday. However, there is no specified timeframe for his return to first-team training.

The club's statement, released on Thursday, stated, "Jadon Sancho will remain on an individual training regimen apart from the first-team squad while a disciplinary matter within the squad is addressed."

Sancho's actions stem from Ten Hag's assertion that he was omitted from the squad for the Emirates game before the international break due to subpar performances in training sessions.

He vehemently refuted these post-match claims by the Dutch manager, calling them as "entirely false" in a post on platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Following more than a week of public scrutiny, Sancho eventually deleted his post on Tuesday. Sources close to the club have interpreted this move as a positive step.

The decision to exclude the English forward from selection further diminishes Ten Hag's options for the upcoming match against Brighton at Old Trafford.

The manager is also without the services of Brazil winger Antony, who has been granted a leave of absence amid allegations of misconduct lodged by three women.

Additionally, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Raphaël Varane were sidelined due to injuries during the defeat at Arsenal.

New signing Sofyan Amrabat was also sent back from international duty with Morocco due to a back issue but is expected to play some part against Brighton.
