The Trump administration is planning to add Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania to its travel ban list.

That's according to US media reports, which claimed not all countries would face blanket bans, with some handed only visa restrictions.

A senior Trump administration official said countries that failed to comply with security requirements faced the travel ban threat.

During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, US President Donald Trump confirmed he was planning to add countries to the travel ban list, but refused to say which ones.

The list of countries is reportedly not final and could change, with an official announcement expected as early as Monday.

Currently, the travel ban list includes Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria and Yemen, and some officials from Venezuela.
