Banksy painting sells for AED 45 million

A Banksy painting which depicts the British House of Commons filled with chimpanzees has been sold for around AED 45 million.

The piece, which is called 'Devolved Parliament,' was painted back in 2009.

It was auctioned off after 13 minutes at Sotheby's in London.

The anonymous Bristol artist confirmed on Instagram that it was a "record price for a Banksy painting."
