Brad Pitt reportedly pulled out of attending the BAFTAs awards at London's Royal Albert Hall due to a "family obligation".

According to media reports, the actor cancelled his UK trip to speak to his estranged son Maddox.

"Maddox gave Brad the chance to talk and he dropped everything," a source was quoted by the British tabloids.

Their relationship broke down in 2016 following a major row on a private jet flight.

Meanwhile, Brad went onto win the best-supporting actor award for his performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

However, it was his acceptance speech - which was read out by his co-star Margot Robbie - that created quite a stir for the reference to Prince Harry.
