Halle Berry drops out of filming new drama one week in

Hollywood actress Halle Berry will no longer be starring in and executive producing the upcoming legal drama series "All’s Fair”.

The news of her departure comes just one week after it was announced that Berry had joined the series, alongside Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian, in what was anticipated to be a significant television role for the award-winning actress.

The decision for Berry to step down from the project is attributed to a scheduling conflict. 

This development leaves the series without Berry's involvement, just weeks after her initial casting was reported.

"All’s Fair," created by Ryan Murphy, centers around an all-female law firm based in Los Angeles. Details about Berry's character had not been disclosed prior to her exit.

Despite departing from the Hulu series, Berry remains busy with other projects. She is set to appear in the Netflix film "The Union," co-starring Mark Wahlberg, scheduled for release on August 16, and the Lionsgate horror film "Never Let Go," slated for September 27.

Ryan Murphy, known for his prolific work in television, serves as writer, director, and executive producer for "All’s Fair," marking the first series under his new overall deal with Disney following the conclusion of his previous deal with Netflix. 

The series is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, with executive producers including Kardashian, Close, Kris Jenner, and others.

As the production moves forward the search for a replacement for Berry's role will likely be a priority.
