In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), Emirati businessman Abdul Rahim Mohammed Balghazouz Al Zarooni announced a donation of AED 150 million to establish an endowment medical complex.
His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of the MBRGI, said that the proceeds will go to support their projects, as a continuation of the interaction of the Emirati community, which has resulted in generous donations and contributions to help achieve their goals and expand their programmes and projects around the world.
He said the Initiative is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide support for less fortunate communities around the world, and harnessing its capabilities and expertise in order to alleviate suffering.
Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni said the agreement "reflects our commitment to supporting MBRGI’s noble efforts to help underprivileged communities, which has strengthened the UAE’s global humanitarian role.
“It is a privilege to contribute to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) through the creation of an endowment medical complex, whose proceeds will support the various projects and campaigns of MBRGI. We hope this contribution will make a significant difference and fulfill the needs and hopes of those in need globally."
Posting on social media platform X, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan thanked Al Zarooni "for his generous contribution, and commend the local business community for supporting charitable projects and initiatives".

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives continues to consolidate its successful path in charitable and humanitarian work, as it was able to increase the number of beneficiaries by 9 million last year compared to 2022, and it also expanded the provision of its programmes to 105 countries.
In total MBRGI spent AED 1.8 billion in 2023 which had a positive impact on the lives of 111 million beneficiaries.
