Ras Al Khaimah welcomes record number of tourists

Ras Al Khaimah is getting increasingly popular as a tourist destination.

The northern emirate welcomed around 118,000 visitors in August, setting a new record in the process.

Poland, Russia, India, Kazakhstan and Czech Republic were the top international source markets.

The emirate has also seen an 8.4 per cent growth in domestic visitor arrivals.

Meanwhile, hotels and resorts reported a 3.1 per cent increase in occupancy rates compared to the same time last year.
