Passengers flying premium on Emirates Airline can once again enjoy the lounge and chauffeur service.

The airline announced it is restarting the services following a full health and safety review.

One lounge in Terminal 3 Concourse B, Dubai International Airport (DXB), will be operational at reduced seating capacity as per social distancing guidelines.

The lounge will be sanitised and fumigated at the end of each day, with seats and tables sanitised after every customer.

Food will be served in sealed meal boxes, with complimentary beverages offered in single serve bottles.

In fact, special facial-recognition, biometric gates will be put up at the entrances to aid contact-less access.

Masks will be mandatory in the lounge, as in the airport, with Emirates Lounge employees wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce risk for themselves, and the guests.

There are plans to open more Emirates lounges in Dubai and around the world in the coming months.

Meanwhile, complimentary Chauffeur Drive service for First and Business Class customers in Dubai and other cities will also resume.

The cars will be disinfected at the end of each shift, with drivers wearing masks and gloves at all times, and undergoing regular health checks.

The "high touch" points, such as door handles and handles of luggages, will be sanitised at the end of the trip.

Each car will be limited to three customers and masks are mandatory for passengers.
