From November 26 to 29, Big 5 Global, alongside co-located events LiveableCitiesX, GeoWorld, and Future FM, will bring together 1,500 leaders from government and the private sector to shape the future of urban communities.

The summits will focus on tackling key challenges in urban development, from overcrowding and resource optimisation in the Global South to aging infrastructure and populations in the Global North.

Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of dmg events, emphasised the need for collaboration between governments, national vision initiatives, and the construction sector to build the cities of tomorrow.

The event is expected to drive innovation, sustainability, and resilient infrastructure across the MEASA region, which is seeing $6.75 trillion in urban construction and infrastructure projects.

Speakers at the Big 5 Global and LiveableCitiesX summits include key UAE officials like Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy & Infrastructure, and Maysarah Eid, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre.

International experts, including His Excellency Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, and Fred Mills, Founder of The B1M, will also contribute insights on resilient infrastructure, energy projects, and urban regeneration.

Other prominent figures include Lord Udny-Lister of the UAE-UK Business Council and Prof. Carlos Moreno, creator of the 15-minute City Concept.

The summits promise to be a critical platform for advancing sustainable urban development and fostering global partnerships to address the evolving needs of cities worldwide.
