Senior high school students in Abu Dhabi asked to pull up socks after poor exam results

Senior high school students in Abu Dhabi have been asked to pull up their socks after turning around poor exam results in the first trimester of the academic year.

The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) recently announced the final test scores for more than 14,500 grade 12 students in public and private schools across the capital.

In a strongly-worded statement, the education council called the results “poor” and “not promising.”

They blamed the lacklustre scores on poor attendance among students, a lack of punctuality, and the fact that certain textbooks were delivered late to schools.
