If Don LaFontaine were still around to read the following intro, it would begin like this, “In a world of recognisable voices, comes a man with the golden voice, Tom Bushell.” After Homer Simpson and R2D2, Tom’s is the next most identifiable voice on airwaves (a claim substantiated by his huge fan base). After a few years of honeng his talent back home in England, Bushell gave in to his yearning of seeing more of the world. Since joining Dubai 92, Bushell has appeared in many UAE magazines with best mate Dan Marsh for the song they wrote about Dubai. It has since gained them a Hot 100 appearance in 2009 and TV appearances on Dubai One’s HerSay. Tom has interviewed Fatboy Slim in an hour-long piece for his show and documents his day-to-day life in Dubai on his daily blog on dubai92.com. Once Tom started writing the blog the number of hits to his online page and number of female fans increased almost 1,800 per cent. If MGM were to make a movie of Tom’s life it would be aptly named “The Man With the Golden Voice” played by no other than fellow Englishman, Daniel Craig.
