NATHALIE

You could say Nathalie Shariat had an early start in her career, practicing the gift of gab since she could crawl. Her parents even tried to pay Nathalie ten Dirhams to stop talking for an hour. Luckily she failed and learned to parlay her loquaciousness (one who loves to talk) into a successful radio presenter on Dubai 92. People now pay her for what comes naturally, entertaining. On the one hand, she’s zealous of certain things: cleanliness, timeliness, and great music. On the other, she’s jealous of people who can play La Bamba on their guitar better and prepare a tastier Waldorf salad. On a more interesting note, Nathalie shares the same hair gene with cousin IT, and could have made a killing as a Pantene hair model. But just as she was signing up for her first hair show she inexplicably started mouthing the words, “But I’m a creep, I’m a weirdo. What the hell am I doin’ here? I don’t belong here.” So she ran, ran so far away until she found her true calling, hosting the Middays with Nats on Dubai 92. She is so good at what she does, she has even won an award for it. It was for the best non-breakfast show in the Middle East, at the very first Middle Eastern Radio Awards. They say people who own parrots have the most successful careers as pirates and radio hosts; Nathalie is talking proof (of the latter, the former has yet to be confirmed).
