GEORDIEBIRD

“Jump around, jump up and get down. Jump around, jump around.” Geordiebird is not only the co-host and producer of the Breakfast Show on Dubai 92, she was once Newcastle on Tyne’s trampoline champ. The hours spent bouncing around could be one of the reasons she has a bubblier personality than a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Geordiebird is truly special, not in a small yellow school bus sort of way but in a dynamic, one day I’ll take over the world type of way. Her way of thinking is certainly unique and adds to her dynamism and charm on air. You’d never know (until now) that despite her natural ear for music and love of songs others are embarrassed of, she’s suffers a bit of the White Man’s Overbite. While dancing and tanning are two things that don’t come naturally to Geordiebird (she was addicted to fake & bake for 10 years, but is no longer tanorexic) her natural cadence and humor on the Breakfast Show is clear. Aside from her funny antics in studio, her off-air personality is just as entertaining. She once rubbed moisturizer on her knees before going to bed only to wake up and discover it was fake tan the next day. She ran around town with raccoon-ring circle-knees for days. In addition to stage presence, it is an industry fact, that those scared of horses often make the most memorable and freshest radio presenters; just like Geordiebird. She’s been on-air for over three years and has already reached Such Great Heights.
