Massive Attack – Heligoland

Massive Attack are a British music production duo from Bristol.

They are considered to be the creators of trip hop.

Their debut album Blue Lines was released in 1991.

Heligoland is their 5th studio album and was released on February 8th 2010, seven years after the release of their last album 100th Window.

The record features various vocalists: Horace Andy, Tunde Adebumpe of TV On The Radio, Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star and The Warm Inventions, Guy Garvey of Elbow and Martina Topley-Bird who has worked with the likes of Tricky in the past.

Many other artists recorded sessions during the duo’s post-100th Window era but are not featured on the album.
