Alexandra Burke is an English singer and winner of the fifth series of The X Factor.
She started singing when she was five and prior to The X Factor, had no professional vocal training.
Her mother is Melissa Bell, who is the former lead singer of Soul II Soul.

Burke’s debut album, Overcome, was released on October 19th,2009 and entered the charts at number one.
