Expansion plans for Al Maktoum International Airport pushed to 2018

Expansion plans for Al Maktoum International Airport pushed to 2018
Expansion plans for Al Maktoum International Airport have been pushed back by a year to 2018.

According to the airport’s operator, the facility’s new developments will now be ready by next year instead of later this year.

Once the expansion is complete, the airport will be able to hold 26 million passengers annually compared to the seven million it can accommodate currently.

Budget carrier flydubai will move its operations from Dubai International Airport to DWC in the third quarter of this year while Emirates Airlines expects to move there in 2025.
