Moonshine is one of the acts set to perform at Rock Nation 2 on February 18. A local rock act, Moonshine is due to release their first EP, self-titled ‘Moonshine’ on the night, so we thought we’d find out a little more about the band…
The band was started in 1996 by Ryan and two other band mates, but as band members moved on Ryan kept the band alive with solo performances until 2008 when he met current band mates Kurt and Hisham.
Today Moonshine is a four piece rock band made up of vocalist Ryan, lead guitarist Kurt, Quay on bass guitar and Hisham on drums.
The band played their first gig in 2008 at the Canadian University of Dubai and since then have been working really hard writing music for their EP and performing gigs, including opening the Rock Nation series of concerts with Juliana Down and performing at the Adrenaline Live Festival in Abu Dhabi.
This is an exciting time for the band as they’re set to release their first EP this year, consisting of six tracks. Here’s their track list and one of the songs off the EP for you to listen to!
