Doctors have expressed concern over the number of female adolescents in the UAE with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

Those who have the condition suffer from hormonal imbalance, which could lead to infertility.

PCOS is linked to obesity, which experts say affects about two thirds of the UAE population, double the global average.

Dr. Nidhi Sapolia, a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Medeor 24×7 Hospital in Dubai, shares some alarming figures.
