Catboy’s pick of the new Cinema releases for 10th May.

ISLE OF DOGS (18TC)

First up is Wes Anderson’s ISLE OF DOGS. A gorgeous, stop-motion animation about a young boy’s search for his pet dog.

TERMINAL (18+)

Next up, from the producers of Murder On The Orient Express and Harry Potter, is TERMINAL, which tells the story of two hit-men, as they embark on a borderline suicide mission for a mysterious employer and a high paycheck. Along the way, the unlikely pair, played by Dubai favourite, Simon Pegg and Mike Myers, come across a dynamic woman played by Margot Robbie, who may be more involved than they had originally suspected…

LIFE OF THE PARTY (15+)

And finally, if you fancy a laugh this weekend, check out LIFE OF THE PARTY, starring Melissa McCarthy as a longtime housewife who, dumped by her husband, turns regret into reset by going back to college. Winding up at the same school as her daughter, Deanna plunges headlong into the campus experience — embracing the fun, the freedom and the frat boys.

It’s a format that’s been done several times with men in the lead with Old Schools and Back to School but it’s great to see it from a female perspective…
