Hello everybody. Catboy here!

I’m sure you’ll agree that this year Dubai 92 and the Breakfast Show have gone all out in making this little patch of sand as festive as possible. We’ve had the Dubai 92 Tree Decorating, when literally hundreds of kids came to the Breakfast Show, decorated the tree, ate our cupcakes, left us presents and took over the show. We’ve tried to help useless wives with The Top Ten Christmas Presents that Men Really Want. We even managed to round up a choir (of sorts) to record some Dubai Christmas Carols… And if that wasn’t enough, we gave away The Top Fifteen Toys of 2009 and gave the kids of Dubai direct access to Santa’s Voicemail.

It’s not only been a tremendous Christmas for Dubai 92 and the Catboy & Geordiebird Breakfast Show but also a tremendous year, highlights of which have included an 80,000dhs Dubai 92 Secret Sound giveaway, 30 listeners jetting off to New York City with us for the Barasti Big Deal, being crowned the Best Radio Station in Dubai by the public and a third consecutive year in the Ahlan Hot 100 for Geordiebird and me.

So, how do we end this fabulous year? Well, last year we did the Christmas Morning Show and it was so much fun, we instantly volunteered to come in this time, unpaid (on a Friday morning, no less!) and put on The Catboy & Geordiebird Christmas Morning Spectacular. From 7am through until 10am, we’ll be playing non-stop Christmas music, including the classics, golden oldies, contemporary artists covering your favourites and one or two silly versions we’ve recorded ourselves.

You can expect to hear Band Aid, Slade, Dean Martin, Oasis, Bing Crosby, Eartha Kitt, Chris Rea, Nat King Cole, Roy Wood, Shakin’ Stevens, The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, Mud, The Darkness, Lady Gaga, Wham, Mariah Carey, Peggy Lee, James Taylor, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, East 17, Jona Lewie, Paul McCartney and lots more.

Not only that, we’ll be getting your kids live on the show from living rooms all over Dubai and capturing the magic of them opening their presents from Father Christmas, plus we’ll play out all our favourite messages from the little urchins, too.
